Living Well With Fibromyalgia

Just because there’s no cure doesn’t mean you have to live in pain.

What do you know about fibromyalgia?

Have you been diagnosed with fibromyalgia? Are you living with unexplained pain? Do you know someone with fibromyalgia and want to gain a better understanding of what they are going through on a daily basis?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we have an event for you! Fibromyalgia is a challenging disease. It can be difficult to diagnose; the cause and cure are unknown; and many doctors aren’t trained to identify the diseases. Sufferers may look healthy on the outside misleading friends and family to believe that everything is okay.

Sound familiar? We understand your struggle which is why we’re hosting Living Well with Fibromyalgia on Thursday, June 20th at 7:00 pm CDT. Will you join us? We will provide an in-depth explanation of fibromyalgia and techniques for managing pain. We encourage people living with fibromyalgia and their loved ones to join the webinar and share your experiences.

You don't have to live with pain.

During this experience, we will address coexisting diseases common among those living with fibromyalgia and provide techniques for minimizing pain over time. We will also debunk some myths surrounding the illness.
Everyone is encouraged to participate by sharing their personal experience or asking questions to understand the disease better.

Our goal is to provide reliable information surrounding the disease and help people living with fibromyalgia live well. By assisting others to understand the disease better, more people will be aware of the condition which will lead to more accurate diagnosis and higher quality of care.

Living with fibromyalgia is unavoidable; living with pain, however, doesn’t have to be your only option. We can help.

A better way

Functional medicine utilizes  a framework that is uniquely suited to evaluate health status and to address chronic conditions in a holistic way. The symptom-treatment model isn’t enough for chronic diseases. Identifying and understanding the root cause of an illness is how functional medicine differs from conventional practices.

Through functional medicine, the body and lifestyle factors are looked at as a whole to try and determine the cause of pain or discomfort. By addressing the cause of symptoms, not the symptoms themselves, treatments are more effective.

Identifying the underlying causes of fibromyalgia pain allows clinicians to partner with patients when developing a treatment plan. Functional medicine tailors treatments to each individual based on lifestyle factors and condition causes. This enables patients to gain control over their health conditions such as fibromyalgia.
